Blog revived form the dead special: The great discovery

Ha! Just when you thought I was dead. Well, this blog is now revived!

The other time, I went to Dunman High school open house and there was this archaeology booth that I visited. They issued us some archaeology sets bought from the National museum. Me and my sister started working on it in Dunman High and at home. In the end, we uncovered a 14th century gold armlet. Okay, so the discovery wasn't so great after all; it was an activity set. However, we used replicas of archaeology equipment and although the armlet inside was a replica, it was really discovered in real life. I now dictate to you the lines from the treasure card.

This gold armlet is one of the oldest artifacts we have in Singapore. It was found in 1926 when workers were doing excavation work on Fort Canning hill. A pair of these were found together with other jewellery. It is decorated with a kala head and this design is also found on the entrances of old temples in Sumatra. Experts say that the desogn and workmanship suggests that the armlet was made during the Majaphait peroid-mid 14th century. It is found in the collection of the National Museum.

The pictures I took of the armlet and the tools will be posted to 'My stuff' as I had trouble putting them on Blogger. I have derived a new skin for the blog from Blogger's default templates. I am going to fix the privacy options for the forum too.
